VeloRevolution team up with the STRATA3-VeloRevolution Elite Amateur Team again for 2017

We at VeloRevolution are happy to back and support one of the best and leading Amateur teams in the country, namely the Strata3-VeloRevolution team which has added some very good elite riders to it ranks for 2017. Leading lights Bryan McCrystal and Mark Dowling will ride for the Strata3-VeloRevolution team for the 2017 season after ASEA-Wheelworx disbanded at the end of last season following two successful years in addition to top ranked A1 riders Simon Ryan and James Davenport also joining.

All 4 of these riders have won County Rider Stage awards in the UCI 2.2 Ras.

Mark Dowling a current Double National Champion (National Hill Climb and National Criterium Champion for 2015 and again in 2016) and Bryan McCrystal (Classic League 2015 Winner and one of the best all round One Day riders currently in Ireland) will add serious firepower to the team not to mind taking into account the sprinting/finishing power of Ryan and the punchy climbing ability of Davenport. This team will be a name to watch over the course of the season in the results up and down the country.

The team have other riders of the calibre of Stephen Murray,  Anthony Doyle (2017 Leinster Masters CX Champion), Joe Fenlon (Former National Masters Champion), Michael Fitzgerald, Matt Slattery (2017 Munster CX Champion), Mike Lucey (former Junior Champion of Ireland), Paul Norton, Eoghan Connolly, Barry Sutton, Paul Kennedy (3rd Elite National Crit Championship 2014),  Mark McLeavey, Willie Fitzharris, Derek Cunningham, Robert Staunton, Will Whelan, Frank Dunne, David Walsh, Sean McFadden, Hugh McMahon, Mike Looby, Sam McArdle and Aidan Crowley (Former Irish Masters 2015 Champion)

The plan for the team is to ride all the major races on the Irish calendar, with particular emphasis being placed on Kerry Group Rás Mumhan, the An Post Rás, the Suir Valley Three-Day, the National Road Championships and the Tour of Ulster.

Key sponsor STRATA3 is a leading award winning Irish web agency based in Dublin (www.strata3.com) while Stephen Roche’s Cycling Holiday and Training camps business in Majorca has also come on board as sponsors along with the Midleton, Co-Cork based ‘An Rothar Bike Centre’, now in its third decade in operation, who will continue to support the team with bikes from GIANT.
