VeloRevolution at the CAPE EPIC MTB XC RACE 2016

Back in March, we had several teams wearing out KIT at the worlds hardest and longest Mountain Bike XC race based in Cape Town, South Africa. Apart from 3 amateur teams we supplied kit to, we were involved in the professional Go-Pro Race Team who finished 21st overall which is a pretty serious result in a race containing the who’s who of mountain bike riders in the world.

Matt Beers and Oliver Munnik were the 2 riders on the team who finished 21st out of 600 teams of 2 riders over 15,000 metres of climbing, across 8 days including a prologue and 654 km of hard racing taking the guys 31 hrs and 31mins to complete the race. The Race is world renown for being untamed and brutal with 20-25% of teams not finishing and each team can never be over 2 mins apart from each other.
