Our STRATA3/VELOREVOLUTION Racing Team take on this years 2015 UCI International An Post Ras
We are so delighted to co-sponsor a team in this years 2015 An Post RAS showing our determination to have our clothing tested by our own riders, in Ireland’s hardest bicycle race. If ever there is a test in this country for Irish Riders, it is the ‘RAS’ as it is Ireland’s only UCI International Professional Stage Road Race contested by Irish elite riders and professionals from abroad.
The team riders were Stephen Murray, Kieran Crean, David Coughlan, Hugh McMahon and Robert Staunton supported by Physical Therapist Brian Hayden, Mechanics Anythony Doyle and Eoin Murphy with Aidan Crowley acting as the DS.
This year’s Rás covered 1180 kilometers over eight stages with 21 categorized climbs, including two category two climbs, Altinure and Moyer. The 2015 Rás was the 63rd edition of the race, and this year’s route was designed by cyclist, Stephen O’Sullivan who himself is a former stage winner and twenty one year veteran of the event.
The action started on Sunday May 17 in Dunboyne, Co. Meath with stage finishes in Carlow, Tipperary, Bearna, Newport, Ballina, Ballinamore, Drogheda and finishes in Skerries after 8 hard days of competitive racing where every rider needs to finish inside a time limit set by the winners time each day so there is no let up in each days racing.

Stage 2 Carlow – Tipperary 134km
Stage 3 Tipperary – Bearna 155km
